Vision is to the spirit what sight is to the body.
It is important to recognize that sight is the principle sensor for direction. Without it education is limited, perspective is skewed and life risks misdirection owing to a dependency on others who have sight but may have other ideas and selfish intentions.
In God's creation, life's principles mirror themselves in mind, body and spirit. As such, as much as physical sight affects direction, so those spiritual insight or a lack thereof affect purpose and there can be no meaning without purpose. Vision is a spiritual insight around which mental coherence can be developed and physical action are needed to ensure manifestation in the human world.
For those who do not believe in god, do not be deterred this will not be a religious treatise, however, my truth remains my truth and i find that regardless of your point of view you must recognize that this world is organized and whatever force you believe did that had a vision. If vision is the foundation of this world, then you cannot find meaning without it.
Every story of creation from all the people's of the world, try to credit an intent to the maker of the universe, intent is vision. the estimated result for which a struggle is started and which defines a win.
Vision sets the tone for your journey in life, allowing a clear vector, a pin on the map of life around which your travails, adventures, course and direction is set. outside of which life has no met expectations and yet many people travel through life without a vision.
Vision is not a plan, plans align with vision.
Vision is not Ambition, Ambition aligns with vision.
Vision is not Sight, Sight is much more limited than Insight and herein lies the challenge. to have vision you need insight, Inspiration - an this needs faith, in God, or the Order of the World, Or yourself, because at all times the things that Emanate from within to Illuminate your world will always be impossible in the sight of the now, that is the fun of the adventure. God or whatever you call it, seeds in us, enticing "dreams", of the "impossibilities made for us", strategic blunders of excellence that only your decision to engage in an adventure called "living", can set in place.
If You Believe The World Is Not Fair - Then Fairness It Is, If You Believe The World Is Not Fun - Then Fun You Shall Make It, If You Believe In Mars - Then Make The Space Ship...
For Elon Musk it can be Mars, for You I don't know, for me, it is a world in which the African is King. Either, impossible, yet God does not consider making People impossible, I do no consider, rising africa impossible. More impossible is my ability to write at levels professors cannot, without edit, in one pass, on a myriad of topics, without as much as an O.N.D Certificate - An impossibility that is now basic reality because I listened at the age of 16 to Inspiration and accepted the costs and rewards of a life of vision. From then till now, I have never not been happy. I wish you the same.
LIVING WITHOUT VISION.
Imagine being blind and depending on others for most of the things you now do for yourself. Even now that you can see, how well is Life working out? Imagine delegating your most important decisions to neighbours, even now the decisions you take do not always meet compliance by others, how well then, will they serve your interests if you delegate it to them?
To live without vision is to delegate your life to chance and incidents. It is to start the university without a course, to start driving without a destination, to go swimming by asking to be dropped in the middle of A random ocean. At best it is a gamble, at worse it is committing suicide with your joy.
A lack of vision does not stop you from living, many childhood Soccer stars, have derailed into medicine by "wise" parents, many "real doctors", have ended up singers on account of not having the necessary funds for medical school. Many students are directed into strange courses by exam rules and graduating claiming to love the course. In all instances excitement rises at the achievement of a goal, yet the real joy of a life in sync with creation is lost to the Abyss and the ability to rise to the call of duty and achieve excellence in the new found field rarely emerges, except in rare cases where the gambler who was dumped in the middle of a random ocean, lands on Roman Abrahimovic's Yacht.
A meaningful life, starts with an understanding of purpose and rarely can you land on purpose without living a purposeful life. Accidents do happen but you should not leave your life to chance. You must seek to learn your purpose and adapt every moment to the direction of your dreams.
It is important to note that while most people think of vision as career, vision is all Encompassing, It is not a business issue, it has implications for Life and Work, Family, Nations, The World and the Universe.
It is the foundation of a meaningful life - In anything.
MY JOURNEY
Unedited: Early days of LIVEN Capital - Our 1st office, a 3 Bedroom Flat in Enugu State, Nigeria - Yes the Table is dusty, the days of small beginnings. 2015.
My own journey to vision has been a whole life's journey and has been developed over 35 years. I can only claim a clear vision as at 2022. However I have been guided by vision all along, just that the lens with which I saw life was always limited by secondary opinions, economic conditions and other perceived issues that made me question destiny and fault intuitions until I finally went mad in 2022.
I call it madness because Ideal vision is a personal view of your destiny and destination that no longer considered visible hindrances, and which no other person can see and which can often scare - even you. It takes a total trust in god most times to believe what you see, because it often has no tally with the realities on ground and has no clear Mathematical course to achievement.
Vision is not ambition, it is not a roadmap, it is not the journey, what it is is a pin drop on the map, that allows you to focus your aim and to cede distractions no matter how sweet they seem.
My vision is for a good life for as many people as possible and in its detailed form it is so comprehensive and needed so many skills that when I tried to plot them for an academic advisor in my youth, he was Flabbergasted at the mix of courses which I would need to achieve my desired base of skills and knowledge, he admitted that no school in the world offered such a course, and I was dumb enough to decide to still proceed and learn them on my own.
My visions started fermenting at the age of 16, today 20 years later, I have a list of skills and knowledge that cannot be fathomable, not because of their range but rather the proficiency with which I command each area, not as a "Jack of All trade and Master of Non" but as "A master's work". In the end, a little faith in the wild Prodding of my heart has led me here and it has been a journey in Joy.
PERSONAL VISION
The most important vision is your vision of yourself - please not, that i did not say "For Yourself".
It must be a vision "of Yourself" and the work for which you are most suited and designed. the journey for which you were created, or made, or born, or live, however you choose to see it.
In my book GENIUS, my first chapter is on "Nature". It is important to understand that you are designed, and specifically matted with this world with an intention and are a ready fit for a problem of the world. The grand designer of everything, be it God or nature tooling even your flaws to fix his'.
If you believe the world is not fair - then fairness it is, if you believe the world is not fun - then fun you shall make it, if you believe in mars - then make the space ship.
Every man or woman has a principle task that is theirs, and here I will loose half of my audience - AND I BELIEVE THAT FOR MOST WOMEN IT IS IN THE WORK OF THEIR HUSBANDS AND THE SURVIVAL OF THE LEGACY OF THEIR FAMILIES.
In a feminist world, am sure that did not go down well - oh well, for the 50% that continue reading let me continue.
Every man has a principle task that is theirs and their personal vision is found in the achievement of a "work", be it Mozart's musical compositions, Nnamdi Azikiwe's desire for Nigerian Independence, Sam Walton's Supermarket Dreams or the felicitations of laughter by Dave Chappell. Everyman has a principle task that is theirs, same as some women and in all cases women have a vision of life that should guide whom they choose to help.
There is no exclusion of women in the sense that women cannot have visions, it is however necessary to share the truth, that a woman should sync her vision into a unit by seeking and only accepting a man whose vision of life aligns with hers. Since there can be only one captain on the ship, she must cede the vision, but should only be done to a man whose course and her's align, such that she only cede control but does not loose the joy of the Journey.
When you have a clear personal vision, it guards you from misdirection, helping you to resist temptations and to "gladly" reject the many salivating offers that the "Devil" will offer to derail you.
It also empowers you to venture with confidence and to maintain joy in the midst of disappointments, gladdened by hope and a growing faith in god that comes with the many incremental impossibilities that will be sent to encourage you.
WORK AND AMBITION
Ghengis Khan Above and all other conquerers of old, were either led by God or the Devil, but what is sure is that all of them had clear Visions for conquest and empires.
it is your personal vision that will dictate course of study if any, skills and trades, professional alliances, entrepreneurial pursuits and all other things that pertain to work and professional ambition.
My 4 principle Enterprises are in direct relation to core destination of my vision. they are the physical manifestations of systems and vehicles for the achievement of my vision.
As such your choice of work should also align and this is regardless of the hurdles the world, sets forth. For example, in the world today no country accepts "Doctors" without a medical degree and the completion of medical school, yet if you desire to be a medical doctor and cannot afford it, you have no excuse diverting. "If your visions are from God, never negotiate it with men". If you must work as a cleaner, do it in a hospital, if you must learn i.T, work on Health Care Management Systems, If you must be a marketer, sell drugs and medical Consumables, stay in line with your vision.
I have found, from personal experience that if you stay with God, god stays with you, and the things that are impossible, the things that money cannot buy, those are the things God is best at. But you must stay close and keep listening. With each day, the voice will get clearer, your work will be better and one day the world will discover the magic that is you, as your fears disappear.
FAMILY
Believe what you may but this I know to be true - ALL MEN AND WOMEN WHERE CREATED TO PROCREATE. Whether you choose to do this as a formal family or with "baby mama drama" is your choice, but in the end, the joys of life are not complete without family.
You must have a vision for your family, 1st as a man seeking women who can fit with your vision - Please note that I did not say "into your vision". To fit into your vision, your wives must then loose themselves and this is no good to you because they will not have joy and you will not know peace. Your wife should "fit with" your vision, such that it is clear that if you achieve what you envision, she would have also achieved the world she desires.
For women, you must seek a man "of vision" - note that I did not say "with vision" because dreams alone do not make reality. A man of vision is a man whose vision of life awes you, whose destination would satisfy you and who is actively engaged in making those dreams come true. This is important so that you do not submit your vision to a man who will file it away, discard his and take you on a dip in the middle of the ocean.
Your vision for family Emanated from personal vision and allows a clear view of type and scale of family that you want.
I desire a very large family made of many children, yet not many wives. I do not think a hareem of women fits into my vision, however I know exactly how many children I am goin to have, in their order and sexes, such is the level of detail to which god has Privileged me. I also know what these children will be and as such clearly the women who can gift them to me.
This level of detail may not exist for you but you will have permutations about the nature of family that you desire and you must fight to have it. The right woman, in order to have the right partners and to Produce and raise the right seeds, requires the right vision of family - your family in line with your personal vision and professional ambitions in life.
For women please inverse the last paragraph, replacing man with woman and remember to conceed control not because you are the weaker sex, i do not align with that statement, but because life is an ordered design and you rebellion will not achieve joy, the order is best served when you find a man worthy of your submission, such that you can adventure together on "ONE SHIP", heading in the same direction and not result to the "Mortal combat" that is modern marriage.
GOVERNANCE
for those of us who are Privileged to lead others in Communities, Corporations, Organizations and Government, it is important to note that Vision is "The Foundation of a meaningful life and a nations (and others) that lead the world.
Your vision must 1st Respect the principle foundation of society which is the "Individual". Any visions for a society that strips citizens of the ability to command their visions for Life, Work and Family, risks creating a backward society of tools and not people. People are not tools and as such should never be told what to do, but rather systems should be created to enable personal freedom and self determination, with each persons rights ending where another's begins.
Governance vision should be reactive to the deficits in its people's access to self determination as a protection of the dreams they have already created, and aid in the achievement of the visions they now ferment, allowing Inspiration, creating the necessary atmosphere of self confidence in self and the maker that allows a People to "dare to dream".
Beyond this Vision in government becomes poison to life.
There is every risk for those in government to see the world as a battle field and the course of that competition being to marshall the citizen for combat, but I have Analyzed it deeply and seen that if people are given equal opportunity to rise in a society, with fairness enshrined, only the best will rise, excellence will thrive, and the nation will naturally lead the world - or at least stand as equal.
A perfect example can be taken from nature, where untampered forests and Savannahs order Themselves, plant, weed and design without human intervention, creating the most sustainable ecosystems for life than any Zoo or Artificially curated reserve has ever been able to achieve.
The job of leaders must be to "organize" the visions of the people as the mandate of the state and to "Protect" individuality from collective noise making, allowing a "funnel" for the end results of the finished excellence that can only be found in the chaos of god's design, be it in an office, Club or country.
GLOBAL VISION
We live in a world that is incredibly connected and it is hard to exist without being affected by the actions of others, As such i want you to be Cognizant of this and to do your part to ensure that the EARTH is a good place for aLL LIFE.
Know that all the waters of the world are connected, all the land share boundaries, the air over africa goes to asia, the sun shine on all of us and your vision should never make any of these harder for someone else to get.
Yes many nations, corporations and people violate this everyday and in essence they violate you but please don't be like them. where the opportunity comes resist them but at minimum do not contribute to the rot of the very foundations upon which your visions will stand, and if your visions need to destroy in order to build, then it is not a building but the remnants of violence against the world.
UNIVERSAL VISION
We live in a world that is much much bigger than anything you can imagine, submit, worship and no matter what anybody tells you about the limitations of your life, trust in god, look at the stars and remember that anyone who claims to know more than your spirit, should at least point to one o the stars which it was him, who created. a.i is not life and man no matter how highly placed, can never be god.
If you have visions, you know god, walk with him, the maker of the universe is with you - who can be against you.
