The world is filled with energies and is in fact energy and the frequency of God, is love!
Often I find people talking about heartbreak and pains and using these quite frequent disruptions as a valid excuse to live a life devoid of Love. People like this, me and you, when in these states hurt people and never truely live.
if God was a Television Network, his channel will be Love 101, if he were a radio station, you would tune in at 99.9 love FM and if God was accessible by telephone call, the number to dial would be 001 and the receptionist would answer, "Thanks for calling Love, how can God help you"?.
The world is a repetitive cycle of known events, storms and calm, ups and downs, things you Love and things you Hate but in all of this, Love and Hate are not alternatives, or states as the others, in my view, they are a dial, a frequency you engage in order to move towards good or incrementally in the least towards evil.
Without Love, no man can please God, nor himself for that matter.
My heart is a story of disappointments from people who have attempted to stomp on my goodwill and earnest intentions but you will not find hate in it, not even for the people whose actions i hate, the conditions of life i hate or the things about the world i hate.
While seriously disliking and maybe even hating things and actions, i focus on the love i have for the things forsaken, upon which i hate the things that took, broke or is attempting to destroy those things that I love.
Why? Because God is Love and everytime you hate, you get a little bit more like the Devil or as our people call it, "the evil spirits", the very same forces that destroy the world and your world, are forces of the negate energies of the world, the worst of which is hate and to aspire to their view of the world, no matter what is a no go area for the Arrow of God.
love is the seminal tool of communion, which when fully employeed allows the Right Choices, Tolerances, Sacrifices, Gifts, Grace, Joy and Blessings that are the fullfilling virtues of a life in god.
God is Love and the worship of the "gods", which is found in the "Submission to an unseen will", "Respect for nature" and "Service to Humanity and all life" cannot be managed without Love.
CHOICE
the world is filled with a cacaphony of choices and options and the ability to select which is best is a nearly impossible feat that cannot be achieved without the hand of God.
Our people have always seen choices from the perspective of "Akaraka" (Destiny). They believe that every action and choice is a predetermined event with pre-destined results and therefore the job of the human being is not to make choices but to align with the choices that have already been etched in time, precisely for the moment in which he is now living.
In this guise, the right choice is not a multichoice or answers but a specific ideal, which and only which, is the mind of God.
this by no means, should elicit regret for all of the actions you may have taken in your life, which failed to exhault creation, life is lived in the present and so everything i write is about the moments starting now, when you can now make new choices. in making them, know that there is only one right option and that is the decision most driven by Love.
How does Love come into choice?
love is choice. In my book (Genius), i defined love as "option that instead of this, that".
What is the difference between this and that? Most times nothing, just your peculiar interests and nature picking favourites.
Choice is the seminal example of the adage that "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". The difference between a BMW and a mercedez is very negligible in terms of their use case as luxury cars but some cannot imagine themselves in one or the other, as if the options was a choice between Trucks and Minivans. This is choice in action, choice driven by either Like or Love, Dislike or hate with like and dislike representing human physical emotionality and mental preference and Love and hate representing spiritual affinity which cannot be generated by external factors.
To like someone, something, some work or some life, you only need to hear about it, see it or be favourable exposed to it, same is the inverse with dislike. To Love something however, no mental evaluations need apply and no physical preferences may be evident, just a spirit attractions to this as opposed to that, the inverse applying to hate. When in love choose it over any other thing, inspite of the circumstantial conditions or the prevailing market analysis or the positions of even affected persons. love as the only option and choose the thing you love, every single time.
As i write this the 1st thing that comes to mind is what if you Love someone you can't marry? Well then Love them and don't marry them. What if you Love a country that won't give you a Visa? Well then stay where you are, but don't change what you Love.
Love does not mean possession, it means Love. and each and every time you choose it you will either get the impossible or walk in the light of the Holiness that is God, towards things you never knew were hanging around the bend.
Since this is not an article about Choice, please allow me to move on, but reason in love, every decision of your life and your life will always be pointed in the way of Akaraka (Destiny) and God.
TOLERANCE

the journey through life is wrought with reasons to just plain hate Humanity, nature and even God.
No reasons exist to justify the fact that our loved ones die, no intelligent argument can be made for why we should allow Man eating Lions to continue to exit, No logic can convey acceptance of heartbreaks, Disease, Famine and the many human plagues that we have to manage and endure in the course of a life's journey. Unless Love.
In Love you will recognize that the greatness of life is equally found in the inevitability of death, that the risks of heartbreak make ever growing love a cherished gift when found, that disease engenders care for our selves and our environments, that Famine has been the source of some of the greatest migrations, that in the world of hurt that is heaped on us, we have innovated a world that our fathers could never imagine and we now, so Literally fly.
Non of this is a justification of the pain and suffering of waking up just to discover that the things you worked hard to get have been stolen by a random thief, however, in Love we recognize that the CCTV designed to deter the thief, also make a wonderful baby monitor and with this, we grow tolerant of the pain, in anticipation of the just reward on the otherside of letting the Lion live, for the moment when our own kids can have the pleasure of watching one roar.
Tolerance is not acceptance, it is management. It is a recognition that the world was made of Love, is Love and can only result in Love, for those who take every momentary beating without loosing their frequency adjustments to the dial of the creator.
Tolerance is a patient submission to the will of God, a recognition of the fact that after the choice has been made to follow God, the world may still choose to take its time, before turning around for our good. An inevitability, but a slow moving grind that only a tolerance for human, natural and Spiritual errors or Perceived infractions on our supposed goodness by the world, can manage.
In Love, we chose the way that is write and survive to prove Love right.
SACRIFICE
If your picture of African Sacrifice is a Hen or Goat you have no true picture of the lenghts our ancestors went to yield their lives to the Gods
The lives of our ancestors was filled with sacrifice and nothing has changed about the world that should make us think that there is no longer a need for sacrifices.
For my Sons whom I love, I can forego my choice meal, for my beloved Daughter I can abandon even work to ensure that she is duely attended to, this is sacrifice.
Love enables sacrifice, without love you can only invest with expectations and that is not sacrifice.
Often in life you have to take decisions and actions that run counter to any logic in terms of their ability to return commersurate value for your sacrifices and without love this would be impossible. Love is not tingling feelings for a beautiful wife or a brand new car, it is the innate affection for 1 and the other, that enables you to go out in the freezing cold, without underpants if you dared to suspect that they were outside and threatened by anything, including things that can take your life.
in this guise Love is relative stupidity and that is what sacrifice is. When you Sacrifice yourself for a purpose you are not just giving up something, you are accepting to loose that thing and still not get anything in return. This is why sacrifice is so hard for those who do not understand the ways of God (love), because they mathematically and logically probate and reprobate every decision and cannot find a valid reason why they must do 99% of the things that life asks of them.
When you choose to have children and have them with the right honor that God demands of parents you essentially sign up to intentionally demote your own importance and to give birth to someone that will be more important than yourself, someone for whom you would be willing to sacrifice even life itself and this takes Love.
Love is not just an emotion, it is impetus for sacrifice and in this guise a way to God.
GIFT
when i say gift in reference to Love am not speaking of the gifts (Talent, Skills and Abilities) that God gives to you, am speaking of the use of the Gifts of God and Nature to gift to man and the world, a much better world.
Why would you want to give to people and the world? Whom should you give and what exactly?
You must give because it is the way of God, in all of your own existence the Sun, Moon and Stars, Fire, Rain and Air, Rivers, Soil and the Sky, all of these gift to, in Obeisance to the world, in honour of the work of creation, that made you, not because you are particularly special, but because like all things, you do very well matter.
If it is in the nature of nature to give and in the nature of god to give, then it is in your nature to give and any failure to do sure is a peculiar submission to the most negative energies of the world, it is a clear falling out with your divine nature, it is devoid of Love and is therefore not of God.
And in giving, you must give everything.
Love allows you to give more than most people can imagine is humanly possible and in this you become like God because God is everything and in giving gives everything and so must you.
One of the reasons we do not often recognize God is because God has given so much of God to the world that there is nothing left to observe. We are often looking for a glorious expression of a bold King on a throne but the King has long yielded the throne to all the world and the glory of God is hiding in plain sight, emblazoned on all of creation, including you.
You must be like God and the only way that you can do without credit, give without measure, Yield without reward, is Love.
GRACE
there is no other God but God and the world that we all so graciously enjoy, is just a measure of Gods grace.
It is hard to accept grace without the humility that Love enjoins. When you merely like a woman, her gift of her number, time and even consort is but a pass-time that is Whimsically enjoyed but rarely appreciated, with Love however an adoration ensues that makes each grace an appreciable moment with palpable weight, felt in your heart, valued and therefore consented to in conscious recognition of its existence.
Many do not understand, see, nor appreciate the Grace of God in their lives, precisely because the absence of Love has disabled grace or has blurred vision of its abundance.
God cannot gift grace to those who hate because they can never tune into the frequency of praise and appreciation that enables grace. Their focus on what has been done to them, denied them, refused and taken make them platforms for disgrace and wickedness and therefore not worthy of the credits of the almighty in their adverse works, which can never bring praises to God.
Do I think that God sits around waiting for our praise, no, I think however, that like all things in life, the world has automatic dials, energy frequencies and igniting attitudes that induce, command and conceed certain events from the world of the spirits and praise, activates grace.
No many be thing this a religious sermon but it is not, it is our cultural orientation and communion at its best to praise God. In the igbo tradition we pour libations and acclaimations, solicitations, and praise as a routine event of every waking day, as a component of every event and at set times, as a whole community we gather to elevate the Gods of the land and mother nature, (Ani, Anyanwu, Onwe etc.), in complete recognition of their willful indulgence and conscious intervention in our affairs.
Today those who call this idle worship, have men for idols, praise money, pour libation on naked bodies and serve only themselves in a self effacing race to the bottom of morality, human sanity and natural common sense.
What is this common sense?
No matter your achievements, you built non of this, you merely assemble a little piece of your own rearrangements of Gods grace into words, works, goods and services, all made of matter. matter which in science "Can not be created or destroyed", matter which is what you are made of, matter which is grace.
We exist by grace, are grace and our best expressions and developments are only possible when we are operating in grace and without Love, it is impossible to see the daily loving embrace of the Gods, encapsulated in all of the organic provisions that sustain live, that without which even you most earnest efforts will be futile, null and void, provisions like breathe.
in writing this article, I am graced with an abundance of knowledge, the capacity to retain it, the mentality to relay it and the faith needed to even have confidence from the start that by the end, i will still be making sense. The laptop is merely the human contribution of a medium, it has no role in the article even thought it is responsible in logic for all of the words you now read. And the men who designed it did it by grace or in wickedness, driven by Love or Hate. I now hope however that my use is in Love because that is the only way that this article can contribute Grace to your life.
JOY

do you know how many people are living lives without Joy? Too many.
People who have never felt joy, do not understand how rare joy is. in the midst of euphoric human ecstasy, purchased at ever higher prices, they fail to perceive the missing goodness of Joy.
Extacy is human and physical, happiness may even be a mental elevation of it but Joy is of the Gods. it is a spiritual state of wellbeing that exists at all times and irrespective of conditions as a confirmation of the presence of God in our lives, our consistency in the journey to destiny and our alignment with the spirit of the world.
joy is a guiding light that allows your a moment by moment confirmation of balance and alignment with the peculiar directions of the spirit. In the midst of chaos it allows a calm and certaining, aiding your ability to live life with just reward even in slavery, to stay on course even when the world is waring against you and celebrating victories in euphoric ecstacy.
Joy is hard to describe but easier to compare, it is not happiness, that is mental, it is not Excitment, that is physical, it is a spiritual state of happiness and excitement that is perpetual and hinged on no particular outcomes. most of the time what people are describing is happiness or excitment and not Joy.
Joy is of the Gods, it is a gift of holy conformity to the will of God and the destiny of a man and compasses you through life with a quite confidence in your submissions and conscious omissions. it is a constant confirmation in your spirit that all is well "especially inside the well".
When everything else fails you and you look at the world in Love or even in moments of reward and conquest and you look at the world in Love, if the course you have chosen is the path of Love, you will feel Joy, a feeling i am failing to describe but so desperately wish you.
i have felt it now 60% of the time since the age of 16, 80% of the time since the age of 24 and 99% of the time today. And my life is neighter more settled today, nor much better than it was at any of these other points, the principle difference in my life between then and now, is my trust, faith and alignment with God, all driven by my growing love for my people and the world and of course for myself, recognizing that all things work for my good and consequently submitting to the Gods, every course of life, accepting my logic as analysis of outcome and not course, for praise and not discourse, for compliance and not debate. All resulting in Joy - non-circumstantial satisfaction with life.
And there it is by sheer accident, my definition of Joy - NON-CIRCUMSTANTIAL SATISFACTION WITH LIFE.
BLESSINGS

The whole point of life is the gifts of Life, best encapculated in blessings. These blessings are the gifts of the Gods that are specifically bestowed on you in the course of life. blessings like children, wives, husband, parents, friends, followers (not social media likes but people who subscribe to your ideas in truth and solidiarity), Breathe, Health, Wealth and all of the other good things of live and the freedom to take joy in them.
Children born out of Love are not a blessing but a burden. A wife in duress is not a blessing but a liability. Wealth that is stolen, is born of wickedness and brings no joy, it is lacking in love and cannot be a blessing. Parents who you loathe, will in turn gift you depression and cannot be a blessing.
in Love, life and its results become blessings, in Hate or merely out of Love, what you will have at best is yield for hard work and worse self imposed retribution from the world for vile contributions to the world of Love that the gods have Lovingly crafted for us.
You can try to defend yourself by saying that "the world, never gave me nothing" but that is a strange assumption for someone who had no role in his conception, pregnancy and birth and in fact spends the 1st 7 years of his life unable to cross a simple road.
Absent of Love we are blinded to all of what it takes of nature to protect even a slave or molested child, long enough for the person to reach the point of human choice where he can begin to fight for freedom or a change. Absent of Love the very same experiences that makes one molested child to turn hateful of men and Lesbian, hateful of Women and a womanizer, raises in the inverse a wonderful mother who shields her children in love and recieves the blessing of well raised children or a father who shields his wife from his vices and yields a home of love for his children, all to the blessing of his life with a family that is the envy of the town.
life is a blessing but it is hard to see it without Love, absent of Love one is unable to truly understand the great lengths that the world is going through at this moment, just for your good. one is therefore unable to understand the choices that are best for the world, which in fact are the same choices that are best for you, because we are the world and the world is us and when we are a blessing to the world, the world responses in kind and it is much more in a superior position to bless us.
Open yourself to the world in Love and expect showers of blessings because the purpose of rain was not to wet your day and make it hard to get to work, it is there to water your world but you can only see this with Love.
SUMMARY
What is the point of life, if in winning you lose - submit to win the real rewards.
hopefully in reading this, you know have the tools to start to tune your dial to Love. Yes it is at risk of heartbreak and disappointment and failure but the inverse is a gurantee that your life will never yield Gods perfect will for you, if you fail to live your life "In Love".
love is a compass pointing the Arrow of God in the direction of the perfect target and setting his course in alignment with the heart of the world.
it can point at a person, place, thing, ideology, ideal, perspective and whatever else exists in the world in nothings of object.
For the most part we interact with the world in reference to people or word, saying "I love her" and "I love to do X,Y,Z" but it is part of all things and all things are part of it and I insist that you do only what you Love.
Yes, only what you Love. have i done this? No.
But from today, having written this, only what i Love because in writing to you, i now realise the futility of doing anything else, since non of it Results in Blessings, Brings Joy, Allows grace, Builds Tolerance nor can be considered my own choice, less the human propensity for settle for something less than the best, which often leads to running aground and a life of regret.
Why would I want to do that? Why would you?
Love, live in Love, give Love, Submit to Love and you will know god and God will be with you on the entire course of the journey of life and your life will result in Blessings.
Who wouldn't want that?
Not me and hopefully in reading this, you know have the tools to start to tune your dial to Love. Yes it is at risk of heartbreak and disappointment and failure but the inverse is a gurantee that your life will never yield Gods perfect will for you, if you fail to live your life "In Love".

the Arrow of God Series is an unabashedly African take on the worship of God, the Divine things of Life and the Concept of a Life that is Morally just, Spiritually upright, Human in the most Divine possibilities that it holds.
My intention is to convey without apology, a personal view of God, Life, Nature and the World, as well as personal choices, ideals and the ways to a worthy expenditure of the breathe you now hold - Skewed with intent to Restore an African view of human excellence.
